Jeremiah E. ‘Miah’ Kastler, 36

FULTON, NY – Jeremiah E. “Miah” Kastler, 36, of Palermo, passed away suddenly Friday, April 28, 2017, at Upstate Hospital, Syracuse.

He was born on December 3, 1980, in Oswego, a son to Ronald and Elizabeth “Gidget” Kastler.

In 1999, Miah graduated from Mexico Academy Central School and then continued on to Cayuga Community College and received an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

He continued his education and became a CPR Instructor for New York State.

Miah worked on many ambulances, including, CIMVAC, McFee, Four Town and Menter’s being the most current.

He was active member in the Palermo Fire Department starting as a Junior Fireman at the age of 13.

Miah was predeceased by his grandfather, Stephen Polacek, in 2015; and aunt, Barbara King, in 2012.

He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his fiancé, Kaylee Relyea of Palermo; two daughters, Christa Marie Kastler and Emma Rose Kastler; one step-son, William Neville; one step-daughter, Alexis Anderson; his parents, Ron and Gidget Kastler of Palermo; one sister, Jennifer (Tom) Bryson of Pennsylvania; one brother, Zachariah Kastler of Pennsylvania; paternal grandmother, Nancy Polacek of Palermo; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 4, at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Roosevelt Cemetery, Schroeppel.
