Joseph L Searor

FULTON – On Wednesday, April 17, Joseph L Searor, “The OG Grandpa Joe”, passed away. He was a lifelong resident of New York, born in Oswego on May 15, 1955, to Edith and John B Searor.

Joe spent four years in the US Navy before he came back to New York to begin his career at Carrier working as a technician. He continued to work as a jack of all trades until his passing.

He loved fishing, playing pool, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed working on his 1983 Chevy. He was always working on his house and helping friends with projects. His favorite hobby, however, was being the best uncle, great uncle, great great uncle, dad, and grandpa to his extended family. He loved sending videos and texts, and his family always looked forward to what he had to say.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Mary Hamm, Betty Preston, Theresa Robinson, and Rose Manwaring, and his son Joseph J. Searor. He is survived by his siblings, John Searor, Charlie Searor, and Charlene Fosdick, his son Justin (Stephanie) Searor, and his grandsons Elijah, Joshua, and Jameson Searor, and their mother Danielle Searor, along with many wonderful generations of extended family.

A celebration for Joe will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 3-5pm at Fairway Billiards (2107 NY-48, Fulton NY). Bring your best stories and a dish to pass.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joseph Joshua Searor Memorial Scholarship Fund. Information for the scholarship will be posted at the memorial or can be found on the bold.org website.
