FULTON – Joy L. Samson, age 80, of Fulton, NY passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas Samson; parents, Harvey and Lucille Inch; brother, William Inch; and sister, Joan Foshee.
Joy is survived by her son, Mark Parry, Penny L. (Mark) Birckhead, and Frank (Tina) Donaldson; grandchildren, Kayla, Melissa, Aaron, Daniel and Mitchell; 8 great-grandchildren; loyal canine companion, Pedro.
Joy was an avid crocheter; she gifted all her children and grandchildren many blankets over the years. She enjoyed going to the casino when she could and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a faithful and dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Special thanks to the caregivers for all the wonderful care they provided for Joy in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joy’s name to your local animal shelter.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 10am to 12pm at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, NY.
