Joyce M. Burnard

FULTON – Joyce M. Burnard, age 79 of Fulton, New York, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Oswego Hospital.

Joyce enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, and dancing. She was a generous person who would give to any in need. She had such a passion to help she volunteered for Meals On Wheels for many years before becoming an employee with the OCO Association. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, William Burnard, Sr; parents, Clarence and Bernice Peters; and granddaughter, Mary Beth Glasby.

Joyce is survived by her loving children, Mary (Alan) Kio, William Burnard Jr., Gladys (Chuck) Chavez, Cheryl (Theodore) Clark, Robert (Jeanette) Burnard, Joyce (Placido) Orta, and Betty (Chad) Arnold; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, New York, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 1 p.m. Joyce will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton, New York, with her beloved husband, William, following the service.
