FULTON, NY – Kennard J. “Kenny” Scott, 28, of Fulton, NY, passed away suddenly on Wednesday April 18, 2018, at Oswego Hospital after being stricken at home.

A native of Nicholson, Pa., he lived in Tulsa, Okla., before moving to Fulton.

Kenny was a graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School in Nicholson, Pa., and Keystone College in LaPlum, Pa., and he received his master’s degree in education from the University of Oklahoma in 2017.

He taught fourth grade education at Jefferson Heights Elementary School in Sapulpa, Okla., for three years and was currently teaching fifth grade at Bellevue Elementary School in the Syracuse City School District.

He was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Nicholson, Pa.

Kenny recently attained his charter boat captain’s license and was a member of the Eastern Lake Ontario Salmon & Trout Association.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad and brothers.

Surviving are his wife, Janelle Smith Scott of Fulton; parents, Reese and Mary McGowan Scott of Nicholson, Pa.; brothers, Cody (Danielle) Scott of Mehoopany, Pa., and Reese Scott Jr. of Nicholson, Pa.; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Scott; maternal grandmother, Lois McGowan; niece, Chelsea Porter; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be held from 1 until 4 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 910 Fay St., Fulton, with services immediately following.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Nicholson, Pa., at a time to be announced.
