HANNIBAL, NY – LaVerne “Vern” Goodman, 77, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening March 17, 2015, at home in Hannibal where he resided with his niece and her family.
Vern was born August 2, 1937, a son to the late Floyd and Beatrice Goodman.
He retired from the State of New York where he was employed for several years as a transportation driver.
In addition to his parents, Vern was predeceased by his wife, Sue; a son, David; and a grandson, Joshua Goodman.
He is survived by his daughters, Deb (Eric) Schisow and Phyllis Schriefer; a brother-in-law, John (Heidi) Carey; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. March 28 at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
