FULTON – Lynne Marise Ryder, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25th, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on Wednesday, January 21st, 1953, in Oswego, New York, Lynne was a cherished member of the Fulton community, known for her warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and work.
Lynne spent her early years in Oswego, where she was raised by her loving parents, Leonard and June Erthus Bateman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband, LaVern Ryder, and her brothers, Jimmy, Eric, and Jeff Bateman.
Lynne dedicated much of her life to caring for others, as a stay-at-home mom. Her compassionate nature and gentle spirit touched the lives of many, both at home and in her professional life.
Family was at the heart of Lynne’s world. She is survived by her daughter, Karinn Ryder-Francis, and her son, Tyson Ryder, who were her pride and joy. Lynne’s legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Remy and Vera Francis, who brought immense happiness to her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Cheryl Bateman and Jeanine Ramage, and her brothers, Keith, Timmy, Marty, and Kris Bateman, along with several nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will miss her dearly.
Lynne’s love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and was a constant source of support and love for her extended family.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at N. Volney Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at The Driveway Inn at 1pm. Those wishing to leave a special message for the family can do so by visiting www.fosterfuneralhome.com.
