FULTON, NY – Marie E. Schmidt, 75, of Fulton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at home.
The daughter of the late James and Lavica (Worden) Larrabee, she was a lifelong resident of the Fulton area.
Marie was a hairdresser in Fulton for more than 40 years. She also owned her own salon for many of those years where she made many lifelong friends.
Marie loved to go for Sunday drives with her husband and enjoyed antiquing.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Schmidt, in July; and her son, Scott Phelps.
Surviving are her four children, Brad (Karen) Phelps of Pennsylvania, Brian Phelps of Fulton, Gail (Rik) Wagner of Virginia and Brenda (Ray) Crandall of Oswego; sister, Phyllis Foster of Long Lake; two grandchildren, Elliott and Addison Phelps; several step-grandchildren; niece, Valerie; two nephews, Bart and Greg; as well as her dog, Scotty.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 5, at 2 p.m. in Jacksonville Cemetery, Lysander.
