Mary T. James, 98

FULTON, NY – Mary T. James, 98, of Fulton, died Thursday January 3, 2013, at Oswego Hospital.

Born in Fulton, she was a life resident.

Mary retired from Syroco in Baldwinsville as an assembler after many years.

She had also worked the American Woolen Mill, Rosalie’s Dress Shop and Mirabito’s Big M all in Fulton.

Mary was a faithful communicant of Holy Family Church in Fulton, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary, Catholic Daughters and Golden Agers.

She had volunteered with the A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Mary loved to spend time with her family and prepare wonderful food for them especially her native Syrian food.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles A. James, who died in 1996; brothers, Roselli and Leonard Simon; sisters, Julia Wickham, Sarah Gould and Jane Molinari.

Surviving: son, William (Nancy) James of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Lisa (Daniel) Fletcher, Laurie James, Jennifer Diaz and William (Sharon) James; seven great-grandchildren, Katherine, Christopher, Colin, Julia, Evan, Grace and Owen; sister, Ruth Benway; many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton.

Spring burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
