HANNIBAL, NY – Minnie E. Halstead, 81, of Martville, died Monday September 30, 2013, at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego.
Born in Sterling, she was a resident of the Sterling area since 1963 previously living in North Dakota.
Minnie had worked at Sealright Co. in Fulton and Dad’s Dinner in Hannibal.
She enjoyed sewing, crafts and watching birds especially hummingbirds.
Minnie was predeceased by her husband, Derrald D. Halstead, who died November 29, 2008; a sister, Betty Hubbard; and by a brother, Howard Colvin Jr.
Surviving: children, Donna Halstead, Steven (Kathryn) Halstead, Kevin (Dawn) Halstead and Tim (Michelle) Halstead; 10 grandchildren, Stacie, Shawn, Sarah, Anthony, Chad, Nichole, Lindsey, Maria, Tiffany and Matt; four great-grandchildren, Lilly, Jacqueline, Cameron and Allison; a brother, Richard Colvin; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 10 a.m. to noon Friday with services immediately following at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
Burial will be at Martville Cemetery.
