FULTON, NY – Norman “Tom” H. Lyons, 85, of Minetto, died suddenly on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the V.A. Medical Center Hospital, Syracuse.
He retired in 1989 after 43 years at Nestle Company in Fulton.
Tom had served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1946.
He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Lena Laws Lyons; and his siblings, Mason, Donald, Milton, Carl, Wesley, Howard, Edna Lyons and Lois Andrianos.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Irene Burghdurf Lyons of Minetto; son, Dennis (Lynn) Lyons of Fulton; daughter, Valerie Lyons Hudson of Fulton; grandchildren, Heather, Vanessa and Todd Hudson, Derek Lyons and Trisha (David) Botty, Tracy (Steven) Austin and Jason (Sarah) Townsend; five great-grandchildren, Lena Marie Botty, Joshua and Jarret Austin, Sydney and Nathaniel Townsend; sisters-in-law, Marge Davis, Beatrice Lyons, Gloria Lyons and Georgia (Raymond) Marshall; brother-in-law, Leon (Dorothy) Burghdurf; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, with burial at Minetto Union Cemetery in Minetto.
Calling hours will be held 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
