Patricia ‘Patsy’ Patrick Oliver, 87

FULTON, NY – Patricia “Patsy” Patrick Oliver, 87, died peacefully on Sunday January 31, 2016, in Dallas, Texas.

Patricia was born on October 9, 1928, in Fulton, NY, to the late Pearl and Percy Patrick Sr.

During her school years, she was an accomplished roller skater and cheerleader for both Watertown and Oswego high schools, before attending SUNY.

Patricia married Jack Cahill, and welcomed two children, Susan and “Jay.”

Later, Pat married Albert Oliver, moved to North Canton, Ohio, and completed her family with son, Patrick.

Fulton was Patricia’s hometown.

She often missed the Patrick family and living there.

Never one for cooking and cleaning, Patricia became very active in the North Canton community.

She worked with several teen groups, Tri Hi-Y and a co-ed international studies group at the North Canton YMCA, while also serving on its board.

Pat was also active in the Episcopal Church Women for the Diocese of Ohio and at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Canton, Ohio.

As a charter member of Congress Lands DAR, she served as its president.

In addition, Pat was a realtor in the North Canton area until her retirement to Dallas.

Always a reader, Patsy read voraciously during her Texas retirement.

She also worked at Tuesday Morning until she was 80.

Patricia enjoyed her job and the people that she met there.

She also adopted her sister’s dog, Flossie, who was her beloved friend.

Recently, Patricia resided at Brookdale Community, where she loved winning bingo and socializing with her friends.

In addition to her parents, Patsy was predeceased by her siblings, Percy Patrick Jr., Pearl Patrick Jackson, Kenneth Patrick Sr. and Albert Oliver.

Patricia is survived by her children, Susan Cahill Phillips, John (Vicki) Cahill and Patrick (Kris Littman) Oliver, all of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Michael (Kimberly) Fesler, Katie (Douglas)  Phillips Gallimore, Sarah Phillips, Joshua Cahill, Adam Phillips, and Jared (Mehret) Cahill; great-grandchildren, Megan Gallimore, Alex Gallimore, Luke Gallimore, Luke Fesler, Caroline Fesler, Liam Fesler, and Aliyah Cahill; brother, Donald (Rosemary) Patrick Sr.; sister-in-law, Betty Patrick, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Episcopal Church, 153 S. First St., Fulton.

Calling hours will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

Spring Burial will be in Minetto Union Cemetery.
