Ralph “Rob” Kring

FULTON – April 13, 2025, It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Ralph “Rob” Kring, 53, of Fulton, on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Rob was a loving father and cherished friend to many. He was born in Alexandria Bay, a son to Robert Kring and Annita (Minnich) Kring. Rob was a Contingency Planner for Homeland Security based in Oswego. He culminated 28 years of faithful and honorable service in the United States Coast Guard, retiring as Senior Chief Boatswain’s Mate. In February 2022, Rob was awarded the Coast Guard Commendation Medal for outstanding achievement from August 2013 – December 2021. He was a hockey enthusiast; playing in high school, coaching his own children, and as an active member of the Fulton Youth Hockey Association. Rob will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness, and dedication to all he was involved with.

Rob is survived by his wife of 15 years, Elizabeth (Witter) Kring; son, Jayden (15); daughter, Briella (11); his mother, Annita (Minnich) Kring; his brother, Gene (Penny); father in law and mother in law, Robert Sr. and Cynthia (Malchoff) Witter; two sister in laws, Tammy (Jason), Jackie (Kevin); four nephews, Robert III (Gabrielle), Calvin (Brooke), Logan (Dakota), Preston Jr.; six nieces, Chanelle (Craig), Sarah, Grace, Sophia, Emma, and Anna. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Kring and his brother in law, Robert Witter, Jr.

All who knew and loved Rob are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, NY 13069. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 2912 NY-48, Minetto, NY 13115.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fulton Youth Hockey Association or the ALS Association, in Rob’s memory.
