FULTON – Raymond Winklestine, aged 85, passed away on December 14th, 2023, with his devoted wife of 62 years, Myrtle, and his loving children by his side. He led a fulfilling life, leaving a legacy of cherished memories and a profound impact on those who knew him.

One of Raymond’s great joys was watching all forms of racing, particularly at the Oswego Speedway, where he enthusiastically cheered on Nolan Swift and all the Graves Racing drivers. He was also a passionate supporter of Syracuse Basketball and Football. However, the time spent with his wife and best friend, solving TV crime mysteries together brought him joy.

His loving mother, Hildegard Anderson, and Grandparents, Emil and Katie Monk, preceded Raymond.

Raymond leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold him in their hearts: his wife Myrtle; his son Raymond, along with Deanna Jack; grandson Matthew, wife Candice, and great-grandchildren Archer Caerus grandson Michael, wife Emily, and great-granddaughter Riley; granddaughter Mikayla, Josh, and great-grandchildren Trey and Layla; granddaughter Isabella, Cody, and great-grandson Beau; his son David, daughter-in-law Judy, and grandchildren Emily and David; and his daughter Sandy and Duane.

Raymond will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his passion for the simple joys in life. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him, and he will be dearly missed.

A small private service will be held at Foster Funeral Home.
