FULTON – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rebecca I. Shallcross, who left this world on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the age of 39, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 1, 1986, in Syracuse, New York, Rebecca, affectionately known as Becky, was a beloved resident of Fulton, NY.
Becky was a proud graduate of Fulton High School, where she laid the foundation for a life filled with love and dedication. She furthered her education by earning several certificates through BOCES in planting and sewing, showcasing her passion for creativity and nature. Despite facing challenges, Becky found immense joy and fulfillment in her role as a mother to her cherished son, Austin Nebsit, who was the light of her life.
Rebecca is survived by her son, Austin, who was her pride and joy; her oldest sister, Catrina Nolan and her husband Mike; her sister, Christiana Shallcross and her husband Dale; her brother, William Shallcross and his wife Jen. She also leaves behind her beloved nephew, Matthew Mastro Jr., and three nieces, Dallas Steinbrecher, Alisha Nolan, and Anna Shallcross. Becky was preceded in death by her loving parents, William C. and Mary Shallcross.
Though her life was marked by health challenges, Becky’s spirit remained unbroken. Her resilience and love for her family were evident to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and her unwavering love for those she held dear.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the calling hours on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, NY. A graveside service will immediately follow at St. Peters Cemetery in Oswego, NY.
