Richard M. Clothier, Jr. of Fulton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, after a brief illness at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Syracuse with his daughters Tammy and Tonya at his side.

Rick was born on October 23, 1948 to Richard M. Clothier, Sr. and Donna A. Clothier-Frantz in Syracuse. He had attended schools in Florida and New York and graduated from Phoenix Central Schools in 1968. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps where he had served in Vietnam.

While he lived most of his life in the Fulton – Phoenix area he had lived in Canisteo for some time where he was employed as an auto mechanic at several local businesses. More recently, Rick was known for his skills as a self employed auto mechanic in the area.

He was predeceased by his father, Richard M. Clothier, Sr. who died in 1999.

Rick is survived by his mother, Donna A. Frantz of Fulton; a brother, Carlos (Robin) of St. Thomas, USVI; a sister, Susan (Robert) Anderson of Fulton; a brother, Eric (Debbie) Clothier, of Fulton; a daughter, Tamara (Greg Kerr) of Canisteo; a daughter Tonya (Mike) Cooper of Cuba, NY; a niece; several nephews; and grandchildren, Justin, Emma and Garrett.
