Robert “Rob” J. Henderson, age 68 of Sterling, NY passed away Monday, March 11, 2024, with his family by his side. Rob was predeceased by his father, Burton Henderson and wife, Jacquilyn Henderson.
Rob is survived by his loving children, Robert (Victoria) Henderson, Chad Henderson, Emma (Russell) Gregory, Marshall Henderson and Gerald Henderson; mother, Jeanette Duby Henderson; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette (Keith) Knopp, and Lori Henderson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Rob was a proud US Navy Veteran who served on the USS Barney DDG6 during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated RJH Construction for 15 years in the Sterling area. Rob was a very talented guitar player and enjoyed performing at family events. He enjoyed spending time outdoors; he especially enjoyed his time camping. He had an upbeat personality that people loved. He was a loving husband, son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who will be sorely missed by all who loved and knew him.
