HANNIBAL, NY – Sharon C. Parkhurst, 55, of Naranjito, Puerto Rico, formerly of Fulton, NY, passed away on Friday January 11, 2013, at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare in Utica after a sudden illness.
She had a great love of animals, cooking and travel.
Sharon was predeceased by her father, Samuel Parkhurst Sr.; and step-sister, Jennifer Erb.
Surviving are her companion of 19 years, Rafael Cortes; mother and step-father, Florence (Richard) Erb Sr.; siblings, Samuel (Gena) Parkhurst Jr., Larry (Debra Cobb) Parkhurst, Lenny (Tammy) Parkhurst, Patricia (Robert) Vincent, Charles (Joyce) Parkhurst, David (Kim) Parkhurst, Judy (Norm) Richardson, Robert (Cathy) Cline; Mark (Rebecca) Erb and Richard (Amy) Erb Jr.; an uncle, Warren (Arlene) Jenkins; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating.
Burial will be at Fairdale Rural Cemetery in Hannibal.
