HANNIBAL, NY – Shirley E. Kerfien, 80, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday July 8, 2017, at Oswego Hospital.
She was born on April 5, 1937, in Syracuse, a daughter to the late Edward and Blanche Fidler Burt.
Shirley retired from Fulton City Schools as a lunch monitor after more than 30 years of service.
She was predeceased by her husband, Duane “Tuff” Kerfien, in 2015; and sister, Clarabelle Spaulding.
She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her daughter, Rhonda Lee Kerfien (David) Hutchins; four grandchildren, Joseph Duane Hutchins, Amy (Jeremy) Mikels, Jill (Kris) Graham and Daniel (Pamela) Hutchins; six great-grandchildren, Mason and Colton Mikels, Alexis and Logan Graham and Brianna and Samantha Hutchins; a sister, Betty J. Schrader; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home in Hannibal with burial to follow at Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.
