FULTON – March 24, 2026, Shy Bradley Stanton Sr, 58 of Hannibal departed this world unexpectedly Tuesday March 24th, 2026. Born September 21st, 1967, in Fulton NY.

For the past 7 years Shy has been employed by W.D. Malone Trucking and Excavating as a truck driver where his colleagues have become like family. Shy enjoyed spending his summers at the family camp on Lake Ontario, where he hosted his annual 4th of July party with a spectacular fireworks display. He could always be found manning the grill and campfire serenading everyone with a song. One of his favorite past times was taking care of his farm animals.

A dedicated family man and cherished friend Shy was survived by his loving wife of 36 years Shelly (Barney) Stanton, his loving dog Red, Mother-in-law Kay Barney, Sister-in-law Dawn (Roy) Shurtliff,   Brother-in-law Larry (Peggy) Barney, nieces Constance (Jared) Pritchard, Stephanie (Robert) Pawlenko, Catherine Emmons (Ronald Smith), great-nephews and nieces Curtis and Annabelle Pritchard, Austin, Dale, Adelaide, and Andrew Pawlenko, and Dean Smith, life-long friend Jamie Loetterle, Mother Lucy Wettering, Step Mother Connie Henderson, brothers Duane (Holly) Stanton, Jacob Stanton, sisters Luanne and Autumn Stanton, several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son Shy Stanton Jr, Father-in-law Donald Barney, Father Floyd (Sparky) Stanton, Brother-in-law Dale Emmons, and Sister Krystal Stanton.

We will forever carry Shy’s infectious laugh in our hearts and memories.

Calling hours will be held Saturday April 4th, 2026, from 10am-1pm at Foster Funeral Home 837 Cayuga St Hannibal, NY 13074 with a service to immediately follow at 1pm. Burial will be at Hannibal Village Cemetery.
