Stella Shambo, 97

FULTON, NY – Stella Shambo, 97, of Fulton, passed away on Monday August 19, 2013, at Michaud Residential Health Services.

She had worked at Sealright Company in Fulton for 24 years.

Stella was a communicant of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Fulton and member of the Altar Rosary Society.

She was also a member of the Fulton Polish Home.

Stella was predeceased by her husband, Mitchell Shambo, in 1974; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Shambo; and sisters, Wanda Masters, Isabel Garba, Gladys Markot, Jennie
Ciesla and Evelyn Benis.

Surviving are her two children, Joyce (Robert) Lee and Charles “Beaver” (Sandra Tarnelli) Shambo, both of Fulton; two grandchildren, Michael (Kelli) Shambo of Wake Forest, NC and Mary (Jon) Santoro of Apex, NC; two great-grandchildren, Mitchell and Nicholas Santoro; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Corner of Rochester and South Third streets, Fulton.

Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fulton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton Polish Home Scholarship Fund, 153 W. First St., Fulton, NY 13069.

The family will miss her and keep her close in their memory with love forever.
