Steven J. Truax, 61

FULTON, NY – Steven J. Truax, 61, of Fulton, passed away Wednesday September 25, 2013, at University Hospital, Syracuse, following an extended illness.

Steven was born in Fulton, a son to the late Edward and Florence Truax.

He was a life resident of Fulton and graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School in 1970.

Steven worked for Miller Brewery in Fulton for 17 years and then worked at Interface Solutions for several years.

He was a former communicant of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and a communicant of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Steven was a member of the Fulton B.P.O.E. Lodge #830 and the Fulton Polish Home.

He enjoyed fishing, going to Las Vegas, bowling, golfing and playing pool.

He was a fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants.

Steven is survived by his wife, Mabel V. Truax of Fulton; a daughter, Martha (Frederick) White of Fulton; a son, Gregory (Raygina) Truax of Fulton; two step-sons, Raymond and Daniel Wahl both of Fulton; one sister, Sandra (Pieter) Keese of Fayetteville; one brother, Gerald (Barbara) Truax of Fulton; three grandchildren, Frederick IV and Alexzander White and Marley Truax; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. September 30 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

A prayer service will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday at Foster Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at noon at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corner of Rochester and South Third streets, Fulton.

Burial will be in Mount Adnah Cemetery.
