Thomas M. Lizak, 67, of Fulton, died Wednesday at The Manor at Seneca Hill after a long illness.

He was born September 30, 1943 in Fulton, the son of the late Ted and Julia Bunda Lizak. Tom graduated from Fulton High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving in the Mediterranean. After leaving the Navy, he spent many years in Florida working for Xerox Corporation. Tom returned to New York and was employed by Labor Local #214.

In 1987 he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and spent his final years at The Manor at Seneca Hill, where the staff treated him like family and gave him excellent care.

Tom is survived by two daughters, Lisa and Julie Lizak both of Florida; a sister, Peggy (Donald) Platt of Phoenix; grandson, Joshua Chambers of Florida; cousins, David and Dyann Kutob, Cicily Santora, Julie and Lennie Hart.

For the past 10 years, Tom considered Seneca Manor his home and second family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tom’s memory may be made to The Manor at Seneca Hill, Second Floor Nursing Staff, 20 Manor Drive, Oswego, NY 13126. Private graveside services will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton has care of arrangements.
