FULTON – Craig Vernon Abbott II (C.V.) passed peacefully on June 19, 2026, surrounded by his family and wrapped in love.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Richard and Molly Wheeler.

Craig is survived by his loving mother, Dr. Starr Wheeler; his stepfather, Richard Shoen; his sister, Cralynne Hart (Shawn) of Georgia; his cherished nieces; and his beloved dog, Lucy.

Craig was a fighter whose determination helped him accomplish his dreams. He was a published author of two book series, The Everlight Series and Blood & Lust Series, leaving behind a creative legacy that will continue to inspire readers.

Family meant everything to Craig. He treasured spending time with those he loved, especially his nieces, whom he adored. He lived life to the fullest, embracing each day with courage, humor, and determination.

Craig had a passion for poker and competed in several leagues, even earning a poker championship title. He also enjoyed watching hockey and football and never missed an opportunity to watch his favorite television show, Friends.

One of Craig’s greatest pleasures was sharing a cup of coffee with his mom. Those moments together became treasured memories that will forever be held close.

Craig touched countless hearts throughout his life. His strength, resilience, kindness, and unwavering spirit will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bowens Corners Methodist Church, 758 State Route 176, Fulton, NY 13069. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m., with a meal and fellowship gathering afterward.

The family asks that those who knew Craig honor his memory by sharing a cup of coffee with someone they love, spending time with family, or pursuing a dream with the same determination that Craig demonstrated throughout his life.
