MARTVILLE, NY – Laurie J. Reis, 67, of Martville, NY, passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2025. Born in Fulton, NY, Laurie spent her entire life in the area she loved. She was the cherished daughter of Nelson and Jean Kellar, both of whom preceded her in death. Laurie was also predeceased by her sister, Rebecca Hoffman, and her brother, Richard Kellar.
Laurie is survived by her devoted life partner, Peter Pickard, and her loving children: Brandy (Robert) Modugno, Kristopher (Daryl) Ferrara, and Jennifer (Eric) Forbes. She was a proud and caring grandmother to Samantha (Thomas) Benidict, Kimberly (Cody Hare) Ingersoll, Jordan (Rebecca Juskow) Carpenter, Gabriella and Dominic Ferrara, Jake Modugno and Connie Modugno, and Ava and Hunter Forbes. Laurie also leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren: Raya and Aurora Riley, and Talia Hare; and siblings, Linda Frost, Randy Keller, Joseph (Bailey) Keller, and Michael Keller.
Laurie found her greatest joy in being a mother and Nana, always putting her family first. She dedicated many years to helping others as a medical assistant and LPN in healthcare. Laurie will be remembered for her happy and loving spirit, her willingness to help anyone in need, and the warmth she brought to every gathering. She was passionate about riding her motorcycle and cherished the time spent with her family.
A memorial service for Laurie will be held on Saturday January 10, 2026, at noon, followed by a celebration of life, at the State Street United Methodist Church, 357 State Street, Fulton, NY 13069. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Laurie’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Alzheimer’s Society.
