OSWEGO – Thomas David Dovenport, 61, of Oswego, NY, passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2025. Born on August 7,1964 in Oswego, NY. He was a loving father and grandfather to his kids, Tyler Davenport 24, of Oswego NY,Shannon Graves 31, of Fulton, NY, Ashley Davenport 34, of Fulton, NY, grandkids, Ethan and Alyssa Hatter.
Dad was dedicated and hard working. He spent many years managing fast food chains such as Burger King and IHOP until he was no longer able to do so. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and watching them grow.
Although dad disliked being center of attention, he deserves to be remembered and recognized for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor, as he left of huge impact on everyone he knew!
Thomas belonged to The Moose Club and The American Legion Post 268 in Oswego, NY.
Thomas is predeceased by his parents, James and Shirlee Davenport; sisters, Judy Davenport and Luann Vescio; and brother, Terrance Davenport.
Thomas is survived by his brothers, Bill (Marlucia), Mike (Elizabeth), Ron, Jim (Jenny), and Keith (Jamie); and sisters, Pattie Perry, Peggy (Trina) Angelina, JoAnn Wallace; and some nieces and nephews.
There will be calling hours on Friday September 19, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm and a memorial service at 2:00 pm at the State Street United Methodist Church, 357 State Street, Fulton, NY.
