Barbara L. Witten

OSWEGO – Barbara L. Witten, originally of Stoughton, MA,  passed away on February 18, 2026.  Barbara was born in 1941, to Edna (Katz) and William Kritzman.  She relocated to Oswego, NY in 2015, to be near her brother and sister-in-law, and resided at Shadowbrook Senior Community.

Barbara worked for many years in several Law Firms in Boston, before moving to Oswego.  She enjoyed her many new friends, and many adventures with family and friends, including the train ride to Old Forge, trips to Florida, several dinners out with family and friends, cousins luncheons, and countless parties.  She especially loved her rescue dog Baylee, who is now in the loving care of good friends Tom and Sheila.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents, and brother Alan Kritzman.

She is survived by her son Dana (Elizabeth) Witten, brother Jerry (Mary Lou) Kritzman, granddaughter Emily Witten, nephew Brian Kritzman, niece Shayna (Lance) Adriance, sister-in-law Paula Kritzman, and several cousins and dear friends.  At Barbara’s request, there will be no services, but a private burial.  Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
