FULTON – Bonita “Bunny” (Gamble) Butler, 68, of Fulton passed away on February 6, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Fulton, Bonita was the beloved daughter of the late Sylvester and Dixie (Tucker) Gamble.
Bonita attended Phoenix Schools. She worked at Syroco and lived a life full of creativity, passion, and deep connections. Bunny grew up in the era of record albums and box record players lined with pictures of Tom Jones. Music was her soul and turning it down would mean you were in for a fight.
Her bond with her cousin/sis Dawn, was unbreakable, like the strongest magnets. A lover of all things creative, Bonita had a gift for the arts. Whether drawing, painting ceramics, sewing, knitting, or even scratching out a portrait, she brought beauty into everything she touched.
She had a green thumb and a special talent for gardening and making plants flourish under her care. Bonita’s love for animals – both wild and domestic – was endless. She had a collector’s spirit and an eye for the unique, always drawn to things that sparked creativity and wonder. She knew no strangers, always striking up conversations with anyone and making instant connections with people from all walks of life. Bonita will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.
Bonita is survived by her loving brothers Daniel and James (Stephanie) Gamble, and sister Donna Gamble, as well as her cousin Dawn Bullard.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
