OSWEGO – Catherine “Kay” Boni, 100, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Netters) Salvador.
Kay worked at Columbia Mills for 30 years and retired from Alcan in 1989 after 10 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church and Golden Ages. Kay was a voracious reader and loved to travel.
Kay is survived by her loving daughter Carol (Donald) Wisniewski of Marcy, NY, her sister Ann Makin, two grandchildren Christina (Michael) Pettinelli and Donald III (Brittany) Wisniewski, five great-grandchildren Hannah, Andrew, and Dominic Pettinelli, and Adelaide and MaKenna Wisniewski, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Boni, and her siblings Joseph Salvador, John Salvador, and Mary Lasky.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 3-6 pm at Nelson Funeral Home. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, October 2nd at CTGS at St. Joseph Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
