OSWEGO – Charles Andrew Jennings, 63, of Oswego, passed away on January 6, 2023.

Born in Syracuse, he was the son of Ruth (Lancette) Jennings and the late William Jennings Jr.

Chuck was a 40-year member of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades.  He started at Local District Council #4 in Oswego, then served as Trustee Delegate Field Representative and Organizer for Local #47 and District Council #91 in Indiana before returning to Oswego, where he owned and operated Straight Light Painting until his retirement.

He was a lifetime member of the Mexico VFW,  the Oswego Moose Club, Azz Dogs, and the I.O.O.B. Club.

Chuck loved life and always lived it to the fullest.  He was a friend to everyone he met, and he always accepted and loved people for who they were. Chuck was an avid Harley and motorcycle fan. He was larger than life and never missed a good party. Chuck enjoyed spending time with family and friends and adored children and animals as they did him.  In his later years, he enjoyed spending summers with Becky and their camp family at Chedmardo.  His one regret was that he didn’t serve his country like his father did. He never missed an opportunity to thank a veteran for his or her service.

Surviving, besides his mother, are his wife Becky (Sullivan) Jennings, two sons, Christopher and Jesse Jennings, his sister Pam (Bob) Johnson,  brothers William and Danny (Jacki) Jennings, many stepchildren that he loved as his own, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his beloved fur babies, Domino, Louis, and Lincoln.

Calling hours will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Monday, January 15, at Nelson Funeral Home, with a service to follow.  Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home
