OSWEGO – Claude F. Barker, 75, loving brother, father, uncle, cousin, and friend, departed from his loved ones here on earth to join his parents, Frederick “Gib” and Irene (Dunsmoor) Barker, on Monday, July 27, 2026.
Born and raised in Oswego, Claude was retired from the Boilermakers #175. He loved to play cards on his computer. Claude was always ready to help anyone he could and was loved by many.
He is survived by his children Michelle Barker, Jamie Barker, Jason Barker, and Garret Pickens, and two grandchildren, Maya and Max Barker. Claude is also survived by his loving siblings, Carol (Darryl) Mulcahey, Christine Susino, Lorinda Fullington, Harry (Connie) Chatraw, and his partner Valerie Pickens, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Claude was predeceased by his brothers, Frederick Barker and Clinton Barker, and his sisters, Mary Carvey and Patricia Cahill.
Claude, you and your cousin Danny have fun and watch over the rest of us.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the caring guidance of the Nelson Funeral Home.
