Cody Cameron Tice

OSWEGO – Cody Cameron Tice, 39, of Oswego, passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2025, at Oswego Hospital.

Cody was born in Oswego, NY on April 14, 1985 to Brett Tice and the late Kimberly Kennedy. Cody graduated from Oswego High School in Oswego, NY. He enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged following the completion of his service.

Cody was in a car accident in his late teens and was in a coma for weeks due to a traumatic brain injury. Despite the odds being against him, he fought to come back to us.  Through a lot of dedication and perseverance he was able to live a normal life despite his serious injuries. We will forever be grateful that we were able to have 20 more years to spend with him and for the memories we have been able to make in that time.

Cody enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. He loved animals of all kind, especially his pet dogs. Cody will be remembered as a kind and generous person and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Cody is survived by his father and step-mother, Brett and Kathy Tice; his brother, Taylor (Kelly) Tice; his sister Miranda Tice; his daughter Kaylin Tice; his grandparents, Richard and Dawn Tice, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins all of Oswego, NY.

In addition to his mother, Cody was predeceased by his brother, Matthew Crisafulli and grandmother, Helen Waldau.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oswego County Humane Society in Codys memory.

Calling hours will be held at Nelson Funeral Home in Oswego on Thursday, February 6, 2025,  from 4-7PM, followed by Military Honors rendered by members of the US ARMY.
