David N. Lizotte

OSWEGO – David N. Lizotte, 48, of Oswego, passed away with his loving family by his side, on September 24, 2024.

Born in Rome, he was the son of David L. and Rebecca L. (Fox) Lizotte.

David was a retired Oswego City Police Officer.  He retired in 2018, as Captain after 20 years of employment and was also a past Lake City Police Club president.  Dave was quite the entrepreneur, always keeping busy and involved in many things. He also worked for the State Park Police, was a real estate investor and manager, and was the owner/operator of All Season’s Tree Service.

David was a family man above all things, always preferring to do anything that involved being with his wife and daughters.  He loved supporting his girl’s interests and involvements.  David was an outdoorsman who loved camping, boating, snowmobiling, and hunting. One of his passions was maintaining his beautiful Koi pond.

In addition to his parents, David is survived by his loving wife Laura,  and daughters Kelly Lizotte and Allison Lizotte. He also leaves behind his brother Lee (Stephanie) Lizotte, nieces Sydney and Sadie, his sister Amber (Dan) Bradshaw, mother-in law Irene (late Paul) Banks, and his best rottweiler Brody.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Nelson Funeral Home.  Donations can be made in Dave’s name to Lake City Police Club,  PO Box 275 Oswego NY.  Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
