OSWEGO – Deborah A. Waters, 74, of Oswego, passed away on March 15, 2025.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late William Connolly and Maurine (O’Leary) Connolly.
Deborah worked for the City of Oswego for 34 years in the Engineering, Police, and Traffic Departments. She belonged to several area organizations including the Elks 271, American Legion 268, Moose, VFW 5385, Ancient Order of Hibernians, member of the Red Hats, and CSEA Local Syracuse. Deborah loved helping people by offering gifts and services to many. She also enjoyed bingo at the casino, traveling , and vacationing. Deborah loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Deborah was deeply religious and had a strong faith.
Deborah is survived by her daughters Heather (Sean) Lynch of Colorado and Venus (Jesse Contois) Waters of Oswego, grandchildren Vienna Webster and Grace Lynch, sister Millie (Jim) Bowers, and brother Patrick Connolly, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Waters, sisters Sheila Brown, Megan Connolly, and Nora Smith, and brothers John Askew and Timothy Connolly.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 3-6 pm at Nelson Funeral Home. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Saturday, March 22nd at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish and Shrine.
