OSWEGO – Douglas E. Jones Jr., 61, of Oswego, passed away on March 9, 2026.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Douglas E. and Lavern (Wiekoff) Jones Sr.
Douglas worked in construction and food service. He loved fishing and adored his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his partner Melissa Neshweiwat, his children Rashon Clayton, Hassan Alexander, Emmanuel Jones, Xavier Jones, Kareem Jones, Jayceon Jones, Doug Jones, Deontae Jackson, Mona Claxton, Katara Jackson, Tynogy Jones, Shayla Jones, Imani Jones, Ty’Jaleya Jones, and Asia Jones, brothers Kato (Reginna Flowers) Muhammad and Ali Muhammad, sisters Dawn Wilkins, Laquetta Neecee Jones, Danna Jones, and Nicole Muhammad, and 6 amazing step kids, many grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by his brothers Hassan Jones and Omar Jones Muhammad and his sister Mikki Wilkins.
Family and friends are invited to call from 3-5 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street, Oswego.
