Earnest L. Brasher

OSWEGO – Earnest L. Brasher, 66, of Oswego, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Born in Syracuse, Earnie was the beloved son of the late Earnest and Jeanette (Doty) Brasher.

Earnie dedicated many years of his life to General Electric before following his entrepreneurial spirit and owning and operating A&E Contracting.

Those who knew Earnie knew how much he loved the simple things in life—being outdoors, hunting and fishing, cooking, and most of all, spending time with the people he loved. He especially cherished time with his family and grandchildren, Colton and Elliana, who brought so much joy to his life. He will be remembered for the memories he created, the stories he shared, and the love he gave so freely to his family.

Earnie will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Sandra (Wilson) Brasher; his daughter, Shawna (Patrick) Howell; his son, Aaron Brasher; his brothers, David and Kevin Brasher; his sister, Kelly Bliss; his grandchildren, Colton and Elliana Howell; and several nieces and nephews.

His passing leaves an immeasurable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him. Though he is no longer with us, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

There will be no services at this time. A celebration of Earnie’s life will be held at a later date.
