Francis “Frank” E. Raymond

OSWEGO – Francis “Frank” E. Raymond, 78, of Oswego, passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 8, 2024.

Born in Queens  New York, he was the son of the late Elwood Raymond and Mary Tesoriero (George) Raymond Fox.

After high school, Frank served in the United States Marine Corps.  Frank worked at Alcan for 35 years.  He was a member of the Elks Club and was an avid bowler.  He also enjoyed taking trips to the casino with Helen to play bingo.

Frank is survived by his loving wife Helen, his children Vicky Raymond, Ryan (Tonya) Raymond, and Billy Raymond, his stepchildren Denise (Gary) Caprin, Dorrene (Brent) Kline, Deidra (Glenn) Davis, Daniel (Lisa) Sherman, and David (Jissell) Sherman.  He also leaves behind his siblings William (Peggy) Raymond, Patricia Stepien, George (Bobbi) Fox, Thomas Fox, and Darlene (Terrance) Klock, as well as 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister Elsie Lamacchia, brother John Fox, and stepson Darryl Sherman.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, in St. Paul Cemetery, Mitchell Street, Oswego, where military honors will be rendered.  Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
