OSWEGO – Helen Newton, 83, of Oswego passed on December 25, 2020.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Velma (Godfrey) Perry. Helen, married her late husband of 50 years, Raymond Floyd Newton Sr. and raised three children, Kendra Newton, Raymond Newton Jr., and Kerry Newton. Helen was a great wife and mother and loved being with her family. She also enjoyed going to local yard sales.
Helen is survived by her children, Kendra, Raymond Jr., and Kerry Newton; her brother Daniel Perry and two sisters Mary Jane Groat and Marilyn Chapman. She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband and three brothers Sonny, Frederick, and Kenny Perry.
Graveside services are being planned for the Spring in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Nelson Funeral Home.
