Joanne Wilson

Born in Oswego, NY, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Doris (Hill) Shafer.

Joanne was a loving wife, mom, and grandmother and a caring homemaker for her family. She was also a talented seamstress who enjoyed sewing and making dolls. She loved square dancing, gardening, and tending to her flowers. Joanne also enjoyed watching birds and feeding them in her backyard. She was a member of the Eastern Star for many years.

Joanne is survived by her husband Earl, her daughter Sandy (Ernie) Brasher, and her sons John Wilson, Wayne (Marjorie) Wilson, Jamie Wilson, and Edward Wilson. She also leaves behind her sister Peggy Johnson, her brothers Bruce (Barbara) Shafer, Richard (Linda) Shafer, and Dave (Vicki) Shafer, four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany Street.  Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
