OSWEGO – Karen Paquette, 81, of Oswego, passed away on November 6, 2024, with her family by her side.
Born in Warsaw, she was the daughter of the late Keith Reynard and Mabel (Snyder) Donnelly.
Karen worked in retail at JCPenney’s for many years. She was a loving wife, mom, and grandmother who adored her family. She was dependable, caring, and thoughtful and could always be counted on by her family to provide love, help, and support. Karen also enjoyed reading and was an avid bird watcher.
Karen is survived by her loving children Daniel (Tracy) Porter of Georgia and Gail (Tim) Iskander of Fayetteville. She also leaves behind her sister Evangeline (David) Denton and seven adored grandchildren Chase Porter, Derek DeGroff, Devenne DeGroff, Daniel Porter, Brandon Porter, Ryan Porter, and Emi Iskander, as well as several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband Paul R. Paquette Sr. in 1993, her son Paul Paquette Jr. in 2010, and her sister Emily Kilmer (Joyce).
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 4-6 pm with a service to follow, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street. Burial will take place in New Haven Cemetery at a later date.
