OSWEGO – Kenneth Henry Esser, 86, of Oswego passed away with his loving family at his side on February 16, 2024.
Born in Rahway, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Henry and Lucille (Hierhager) Esser.
Ken earned his Bachelor’s Degree from St.Peter’s University, in Jersey City NJ. He was a proud Navy veteran, having served from 1956-1962
An avid fisherman, Ken was well-known by all the local fishing charter captains. The docks of Oswego Marina won’t be the same without him. Ken will be missed greatly by Oswego’s fishing community. He loved nature and staying active, and he adored his family.
Kenneth is survived by his loving daughter Suzanne Demicco of Mesa Arizona, grandchildren Megan Demicco, Robert Esser, Brian Esser, and Caitlin Esser, daughter-in-law Lisa Esse, and great-grandson Luke Esser..
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his loving wife Madeleine Shylovsky Esser in 2018, and his son Craig Esser in 2016.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, February 18, 2024, from 3-5 pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
