Kenneth R. Buske

OSWEGO COUNTY – Kenneth R. Buske, 86, of Scriba, passed away on March 19, 2025.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Albert Buske and Vitena Jenkins.

Kenneth was a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps and worked as a mechanic for Niagara Mohawk. He enjoyed flying RC airplanes and hunting. He was the owner of Ken’s Small Engine Repair. Kenneth served as Scriba Town Constable and a deacon for the United Baptist Church of Scriba. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Laura (King), children Penny Buske, Candy Buske, Kenneth (Marilyn) Buske, and Robin (David) Girard. As well as grandchildren Neil Motyka, Jenna (Skip) Dalyrmple, Cari Buske, Travis (Patrick Riley) Graham, Justin (Katie) Graham, Ken (Alicia) Buske, and Joseph (Alicia Moss) Buske, great-grandchildren Cori (Kaitlyn), Tristan, Zachary, Chloi, Landen, Logan, Aiden, Cayden, and Noah, and great-great grandchildren Kenneth and Adalynn. He is also survived by siblings Timothy, Leslie, and Jacqueline and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother Ronald.

Per the family’s wishes, there will be no services for Kenneth. In lieu of flowers donations in Kenneth’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society or any veterans organization.  Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.  Sent from my iPhone
