OSWEGO – Linda L. Lee, 77, of Oswego, passed away on December 17, 2024.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Hilda May (Reifke) Rucynski.
Linda graduated from Oswego High School and was a corrections officer for the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department for over 35 years.
Linda was a loving wife, mom, grandmother, aunt, and kind friend to many. She adored her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She also loved her cats and enjoyed the beauty of flowers.
Linda is survived by her sons Jack (Elaine) Lee and Robert Lee, her siblings Charles (Sharon) Rucynski, Joe (Mary) Rucynski, Jack (Kathy) Rucynski, and Viola “Queenie” (James) O’Neil Sands, eight grandchildren, Brandie Lee, Noah (Daniella) Lee, Jack Lee, Addison Lee, Tommy Lee, Autumn Lee, Brayden Terramiggi, and Evie Lee, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband John “Jack” E. Lee Jr., her sons Richard Lee and Brian “Mugs” Lee, her brother Richard Rucynski, and her grandson Jayden Lee.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 10-Noon, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home and burial will be held at St. Peter Cemetery. Donations can be made in Linda’s name to the Oswego Animal Shelter, 621 E. Seneca Street. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
