OSWEGO – Marvin G. “Bud” Golding, 81, of Oswego Town, passed away on February 20, 2023.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late William and Emily (Hatfield) Golding. He was a Marine Corp Veteran having served from 1960-1964.
Bud worked as an Electrical Surpervisor for the Steam Station and Niagara Mohawk. He preveiously worked as an Electrician at SUNY Oswego for 7 years.
Bud was always fixing things in his creative way. He enjoyed building clocks and woodworking. He had a funny sense of humor. His garage was meticulously organised. He enjoyed his boat and bass fishing. He was a lover of birds and enjoyed watching them through his bay window. He also built many bird houses.
Surviving are his two daughters, Lori Ann Austin of Tillson, NY and Lisa Marie Seaman of Westminister, CO, a sister Sandra Lee, three grandchildren Finnegan Austin, Ian Seaman, and Adam Seaman.
Family and friends are invited to call from 11AM to 12:30PM on Wednesday, February 28th at the Nelson Funeral Home.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held 1PM Wednesday, at CTGS at St. Joseph’s Church.
Spring burial for he and his wife Vivian will be held in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery at a time to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Liver Foundation or the MS Society.
