Mary Diment Anderson

OSWEGO – Mary Diment Anderson, 86, of the Town of Oswego, passed away on July 31, 2026.

Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of Dominica Diment.

Mary graduated from Oswego High School.  She married her husband of 55 years, John  C.“Andy” Anderson and was a loving wife, caring homemaker, and wonderful mother to her two sons.  She loved to shop and make trips to the casino.  She also loved her cats.  Most of all, she cherished her time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Donating to St. Jude Children’s Hospital was also very important to her.

Mary is survived by her loving sons John C. Anderson V and Michael (Debbie) Anderson, both of Oswego,and her brother James (Mary) Diment, of Oswego.  She also leaves behind beloved grandchildren, Emily (Nicholas) Russo, Kaitlyn (Nicholas) Bertsch, Andrew (Julianne) Anderson, and Katie (Joe) Fortunato; great grandchildren, Sofia, Corinna , Anderson, Andi, Amelia, Annabelle, Lia, Joey, and Gabby, daughter in law Tracy Shannon, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mom, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John C. “Andy” Anderson IV in 2015, and her sisters Rose Tesoriero and Dolly Day.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 11-1 pm with a service to follow at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street, Oswego.  Her burial will follow in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
