OSWEGO – Mike Francis Alfieri, 63, of Oswego, passed away on July 1, 2026.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of Louise (Schneider) Alfieri and the late Ignazio “Fran” Alfieri.
Mike was a graduate of Oswego High School. He worked in maintenance at the State University of New York at Oswego for many years.
He was very mechanically inclined. He had a talent for building and maintaining race cars. This was his passion, and his real job in life. He also loved his dogs and was known for always taking meticulous care of his truck.
Mike is survived by his loving mother Louise, his sister Susanne Alfieri, brother Joseph Alfieri (Beth Kesler), his nephew Joseph Alfieri Jr., and his very best friend John Colloca.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Ignazio Alfieri.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at am on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Minetto. Donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Health Foundation, 973 James Street, Suite 250, Syracuse, NY 13203. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
