Muriel J. Buske

OSWEGO, NY – Muriel J. Buske, 90, of Oswego passed away on July 8, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Minetto, Muriel was the daughter of the late Glen and Catherine (Terril) Stevens.

Muriel was a strong-willed and determined person throughout her life. She always displayed a caring nature that only she could provide. Muriel truly loved and lived for her children and grandchildren and was forever proud of them. Muriel will undoubtedly be missed by all. Her sense of humor and loving personality will be remembered always by all those she crossed paths with.

Muriel is survived by her sister Shirley (Bill) Castleberry, her children Carolyn Buske, Billy “Scrap Metal” Buske, David (Sue) Buske Sr., Alice Buske, and Duane (Manya) Buske.  She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren Chad Buske, Brandon Buske, David Buske Jr, Adam Buske, Caleb Buske, and Mika Buske, as well as her great-grandchildren Josselyn Buske, Vander Buske, and Rowan Buske, and several nieces and nephews.

Muriel was predeceased by her Husband William “Bill” Buske Sr. in 1986.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Parish and Shrine on July 14, 2023, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
