OSWEGO – Raymond E. Cusyck Jr., 76, of Oswego, passed away on February 21, 2026, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Raymond E. and Sadie V. (Lysak) Cusyck Sr.
Raymond was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Trenton 14 from 1970 to 1972. He worked for Brenneman Shade Factory for a short time before enlisting in the Navy. He was a postman for the United States Postal Service in Oswego from 1974 to 2001. Raymond was an avid sports fan. He loved SU Football and Basketball, the NY Mets and Yankees, and the NY Giants.
He leaves behind his long-time partner Dianna Ambrosetti, his brothers Thomas and Walter Cusyck, his sister Veronica Caprin, and his sister-in-law Michelle Cusyck, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Frank, his sister Patricia Nagy, brother-in-law James Mike Caprin, nephew Timothy J. Cusyck, and great-nephew Charles L. Cusyck.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 4-7 pm, followed by a service, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany Street.
