Robert Bruce Briand

OSWEGO – Robert Bruce Briand, 63, of Oswego passed unexpectedly on May 20, 2024.

Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he was the son of Margaret Frances Palladino Briand and the late Paul L. Briand Jr.

Bruce was a mechanic at Shapiro Motors for many years.  He was an outdoorsman who especially enjoyed fishing.  He also loved watching football and following his favorite team the Miami Dolphins.  Bruce also loved music, especially rock ‘n roll.

Bruce is survived by his mother Margaret Briand, his son Greg (Rachel) Briand, and siblings Paul (Jane) Briand, David (Pamela) Briand, Joseph (Ella) Briand, Mary Katherine Briand, Ann Marie (Jim) Reilly, Margaret (Tim) Wolfe, and Ella (Tom Roerden) Briand.  He also leaves behind four adored grandchildren Sophia Briand, Gage Gillespie, Jaxson Briand, and Rhett Finnegan.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father Paul L. Briand Jr.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, May 28, 2024,  from 4-6 pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street.  Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
