Robert L. Smith III

OSWEGO – Robert L. Smith III, 72, of Scriba, passed away on October 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Virginia Beach, VA, he was the son of the late Lois (Taylor) and John Williams.

Robert was an Electrician with the IBEW in North Carolina for many years and retired from Entergy in Oswego.

Robert was a big NASCAR fan.  He also had an impressive knife collection.  Robert was a family man who loved family time and adored his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary (Derganz) Smith and children Travis (Heather) Smith, Stacey (Kevin) Farrar, and Jason (Breanne) Smith.  He also leaves behind 6 beloved grandchildren Colton Farrar, Parker Smith, Gracyn Smith, Ryker Farrar, Elizabeth Smith and Emma Smith.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 4-6pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany Street.  Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
